Soft Pretzel Charcuterie Board
This Soft Pretzel Charcuterie Board is a snack lover’s dream, perfect for tailgates, Oktoberfest parties, or any casual get-together. A large, soft pretzel is surrounded by an array of smaller bites like pretzel bites, crackers, salami, nuts, and fresh grapes and carrots. The highlight is two flavors of Merkts cheese: a rich, cold Merkts Beer Cheese and a warm, melty Merkts Sharp Cheddar, ideal for dipping. With its mix of savory, crunchy, and cheesy elements, this pretzel board is guaranteed to be a hit!

- yield: 1 pretzel board
- serving Size: 3-6 people
- cook Time: 15 minutes
How to Make It
- Pour a cup of Merkts Sharp Cheddar into a ramekin.
- Melt it by microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. This typically takes 1-2 minutes total.
- Place this ramekin and a cup of Merkts Beer Cheese on a wooden board. Insert the large soft pretzels so that the holes encircle Merkts. The melted Merkts will be in a ramekin and the other will still be in the cup (in the actual packaging)
- Then add all the other elements, making sure there is harmony and that the board is full and tasty.

- For a vegetarian-friendly board, replace the prosciutto and salami with roasted red peppers, marinated artichoke hearts, and grilled zucchini or eggplant slices. You can also include veggie chips or roasted chickpeas for extra crunch.
- For a lighter, seasonal twist in the Spring, add fresh veggies like cucumber slices, radishes, asparagus spears, and sugar snap peas. Pair the Merkts cheese with whole wheat pretzel sticks.
- Spice things up by adding jalapeño slices, spicy mustard, or a hot pepper jam for those who love a bit of heat. You could also include spicy salami or peppered turkey to intensify the flavors.
- Prepping for game day? Stick with a heartier, tailgate-ready version by adding mini sausages, pepperoni slices, and pickles. Swap out some pretzels for soft pretzel buns or cheesy pretzel sticks to bring in more textures.
